Bhutan, a Buddhist kingdom on the Himalayas’ eastern edge, is known for its monasteries, fortresses (or dzongs) and dramatic landscapes that range from subtropical plains to steep mountains and valleys. In the High Himalayas, peaks such as 7,326m Jomolhari are popular trekking destinations. Paro Taktsang monastery (also known as Tiger’s Nest) clings to cliffs above the forested Paro Valley.

Daywise Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival at Paro – Thimphu

‘I-Fly Tour’ guests will meet at Chhatrapati Shivaji Domestic airport, Mumbai as per their scheduled flight departure time and proceed to Paro. Today we visit Tamzhing Lhakhang monastery and the oldest bridge. We have a short Meet N Greet session before dinner.

Day 2 : Thimphu

Today we explore the city of Thimphu. We visit Motithang mini zoo, Buddha Dordenma Statue (subject to operation) Chang Gangkha, Tashichho Dzong, National Library and Handicrafts Centre.

Day 3 : Thimphu – Punakha

Today we proceed to the low lands of Punakha valley. En route, we enjoy white water rafting (subject to operation). We then visit Dochula pass and 108 memorial chortens also known as Druk Wangyal Chorten. On arrival at Punakha we visit Punakha Dzong.

Day 4 : Punakha – Paro

Today we proceed to Paro. Upon arrival we visit Drukgyel Dzong, which is also known as Victory Fortress, Paro Dzong, Ta-Dzong, which is also known as National Museum, Kyichu Lhakhang - one of the oldest and most sacred shrines in Bhutan.

Day 5 : Paro – Chele-la-Pass – Paro

Today we proceed to Chele-la-Pass (subject to operation). Chele-la-Pass is the highest motorable pass in Bhutan. Chele-la is a mountain pass located in the western region of the Paro valley. It is located between the two most picturesque locations in Bhutan - Haa Valley and Paro Valley. Later we enjoy the Bhutanese cultural program.

Day 6 : Paro

Today we visit Taktshang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), a trek of total 12 km. In the evening, we enjoy shopping at the local market.

Day 7 : Departure from Paro

It’s time now to say goodbye to our tour companions. Let us be in contact with each other through email, Facebook…. And meet again on yet another memorable tour. See you all!! ‘I-Fly Tour’ guests will proceed to the airport as per the group flight schedule.
